SHAHID FRA PASSATO E FUTURO
In Iran ancora oggi è vivo il culto dei martiri della guerra Iran-Iraq. Ne sono testimonianza i cimiteri monumentali di Teheran e Kashan con le migliaia di lapidi, così come i grandi manifesti che riproducono l’immagine dei caduti per la patria.
Sui muri delle case, all’ingresso di ogni città si impongono le gigantografie dei martiri, veri e propri cartelloni pubblicitari, per ricordare il dolore di una guerra o strumenti di propaganda?
Il Golestan-e Shohada, è il cimitero dei martiri di Kashasn. Uno skyline di tombe grigie, di volti, bandiere e tulipani. Uomini morti per un’ideale: Shahid, una parola che nell’immaginario occidentale fa paura.
Ma in questa distesa di lapidi quello che più mi colpisce è il silenzio che si impone di fronte alla morte e al ricordo.
Fra le luci e le ombre di questo paese, nel silenzio trova luogo solo il dolore oppure dal silenzio può nascere la speranza?

Between the lights and shadows of this country, in the silence there is only pain or silence you can be born the hope?
